Message I got my new 275/35/18's installed on the rear of my Z yesterday and followed up with Greg Dupree's subframe spacer install today. All I can say is, "Holy Mother of God!" It was about 40 degrees and I launched the car very easily and then went full throttle from about 1500 rpm to redline in first gear. Absolutely no wheel hop and ZERO wheel spin. I couldn't believe the difference in the car. The spacers and the new Toyos are phenomenal.

I learned a few things doing these subframe spacers. If you guys don't have them, you should get them. There is so much sloppy play where these get installed it's ridiculous. You wouldn't even believe how bad it is. I would even venture a guess that many people have a problem with this and attribute the problem to the HICAS. Many people remove the HICAS for drag racing purposes and I'm not so sure the HICAS is the issue now. The rubber bushings don't even come down to the metal disk that attaches to the bottom of the bushing. And on my car, it was worse on the driver's side of the car than the passenger. This leads me to believe that this is the reason the car would swing out to the left when I lost traction. I can't believe the difference! Thanks to Greg for the spacers and Rob (dogpile) for the Toyos!
